SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER FOR MANCHESTER UNITED

As football has adapted to allow broadcasting of as many games as possible, and with a jam-packed schedule of Premier League fixtures, kick-off times and days are now incredibly varied. But, what kick-off time works best for which teams?

Half-way through the 2020/2021 Premier League campaign – Manchester United have emerged as title contenders for the first time since Fergie retired – and fans are even more optimistic following the 9-0 mauling of Southampton this week.

Extensive research from 888 Sport shows that United will be looking forward to game against Everton this weekend, after winning all five of their 8pm kick-off’s this season. The club’s scintillating unbeaten away form has been key to their form this season, but late afternoon kick-offs seem to be a problem for the Red Devils with a win rate of just 25% from 4.30pm kick-offs and 20% for 5.30pm kick-offs.

Everton are up next against at Old Trafford this Saturday as United will be looking to continue their title charge and keep their 8pm record intact.

A spokesperson at 888Sport.com said: “The 2020/2021 Premier League season has thrown up plenty of surprises so far, and we wanted to take a look at the patterns that are emerging across the league with our Perfect Timings campaign.

“Manchester United seem like the real deal and look to be competing for the first title in years. The game against Everton is another challenge for Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side, but they can be reassured by the unbeaten 8pm record that it’s the perfect time to play the Toffees.”
