Revealed: Jensen Ackles named world’s sexiest man
Jensen Ackles has been named the world’s sexiest male celeb, based on a sentiment analysis of tweets mentioning stars from ‘Sexiest People Alive’ lists over the last year.
The research, conducted as part of the Self-Made Celebs study, showed that the Supernatural star has seen the highest influx of positive Tweets over the last year, compared to any other male celebrities featured on recent Maxim and People’s lists.
The Twitter sentiment analysis was conducted on tweets mentioning any sexiest man/woman over the last year, and assigns a positivity and negativity score to each.
While fans have named Ackles the world’s sexiest man, actress and singer Jennifer Lopez took the top spot as the world’s sexiest woman, and saw a higher influx of support over Ackles. J.Lo was followed by Mexican actress Eliza Gonzales and Madalaine Petsch.
Other sexy men who proved popular with fans included Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes and American football star Patrick Mahomes, while the sentiment analysis revealed that Tiktok star Chris Olsen saw the least support on social media over the past year.
People magazine has been naming annual lists of the ‘Sexiest Man alive’ since 1985, while Maxim has been crowning the ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ via their ‘Hot 100’ since 2000.

4 – Ryan Reynolds

Other celebs analysed in this study included Prince Harry – who just missed the top ten sexiest men – Jessica Alba, and singers Teyana Talor and Stefflon Don.
Peter Bennett, Head of Brand Marketing at fair casino PlayOJO, comments on the analysis: “Although it’s clear that all the celebs featured in the analysis are hugely supported by fans of their work online, it is interesting to see how online sentiment varies from person to person.
“It’s also encouraging to see that the majority of interactions around the stars on Twitter are positive – particularly given the volatile nature of online forums, and competitive nature of the Sexiest People Alive lists.”
