On 24 April 2026, Egyptian-Sudanese alternative pop breakout star Nxdia returns with brand-new EP Lovemesick, an anarchic and annihilating rampage through the detritus of an all-consuming and over-indulgent love destined to implode.

Churning with agitated energy, pulsating electronic beats and insatiable explorations of what it means to be devoured by desire, the four-track EP finds Nxdia’s effortless fusion of English and Arabic and razor-sharp storytelling riper than ever – and ready to pick open the wounds of a relationship born from engulfing obsession.

Forged from the wreck of unhealthy coping mechanisms and toxic cravings that Nxdia found themselves grappling with amidst a relationship disintegration, they explain:

“Lovemesick is a manifesto on how I see love, dedicated to the fuck ups of my love life. It’s a collection of dark love songs with even darker endings – my way of raving through the whirlwind of heartbreak and the instinctual, human reactions to that sort of loss.”

Over four-tracks, the EP veers from vibrating dance-ready rhythms fuelled by the sickly-sweet beginnings of a scalding new obsession on title-track ‘Lovemesick’, to fizzling, fuzzy riffs and teetering judders of reverb on ‘Anchor’ which – paired with more intimate moments of anxiety and introspection – soundtrack the seesaw realisation of slowly being left to submerge.

Across biting and brash ‘Balance Beam’, Nxdia details the toxic hedonism of fully letting go as a relationship rots, before closing track ‘Fuck Me Up’ shatters the boundaries of sex and sensuality for a full-blown rave through the wreckage.

In May 2026, Nxdia will also be hitting the road for Lovemesick: Fever Run, a series of three intimate EP release parties across the UK. An opportunity for Nxdia’s cult community to come together and bring “crying in the club” to life, the mini-tour will kick off at London’s Colours on 3 May with further stops at Manchester’s Deaf Institute and Bristol’s Rough Trade. Pre-sale tickets will be available from 9am on Tuesday 14 April, ahead of general sale from 9am on Friday 19 April.

Having amassed over 100 million streams globally, 1.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a cult following that never fail to show up, Nxdia’s brutal honesty, tongue-in-cheek, tell-all lyricism and deft bridging of musical and cultural worlds has attracted major support across BBC Radio 1, BBC 6Music, NME, Rolling Stone UK, DIY, Dork, Notion, Wonderland, HUNGER, Kerrang!, Glamour and more.

Nxdia’s deft fusion of English and Arabic, along with their gift for capturing emotional nuance, dynamic punk-inspired pop sound and unstoppable ability to cultivate a sense of community and belonging wherever they go, finds them showing no signs of slowing down as they grab 2026 firmly with both hands.

Following a non-stop 2025, which saw them draw in jam-packed crowds at festivals including The Great Escape, Latitude, Lollapalooza Paris, Bludfest, Brighton Pride and Reading & Leeds, plus sell out their very first UK and EU headline tour, Nxdia is also on tour supporting Cat Burns across the UK throughout April 2026.

Lovemesick is out on 24 April 2026.
