‘Harry is a bonafide puppet on Meghan’s string’

PRINCE Harry has been likened to a puppet who enjoys being led.

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe, author of Prince Harry: The Inside Story, told GB News “We thought perhaps there was a little bit of a cease fire over the summer since we saw Harry and Meghan for the last visit for the Queen’s Jubilee. But suddenly and bizarrely again on the eve of Princess Diana’s 25th anniversary of her death, Meghan was on the front pages with the first of her big podcast deals from Spotify and this 6,400 word interview in a magazine no-one seems to have heard of this side of the country. It was a very provocative move, at a time they know full well they’re about to come back to Britain this week and being on the front pages seems to be something that Harry and Meghan enjoy.

“I think it’s a bit worrying, because what we also saw, in the Spotify podcast and again in the magazine, is two cameo appearances from Prince Harry as though he just can’t resist coming down from his bedroom when Meghan’s working downstairs. And you sort of think, ‘no that’s not an accident’. Don’t forget we saw him juggling outside the window whilst Meghan was launching an initiative, and it does make you begin to wonder what on earth Harry is thinking. Whether he likes it or not, he’s coming across now as a bonafide puppet on Meghan’s string.

“We’ve seen Harry; a popular, fun loving royal and the public could not get enough of Prince Harry. What we have now is a Prince Harry who tells us he’s happy, but hasn’t seemed to have told his face. I’ve never seen him looking this miserable and it doesn’t look like it’s getting better any time soon.”

Discussing whether Harry is the leader in the pair’s media activity and deals since leaving the Royal Family, Larcombe explained: “Harry isn’t 19, 20 or 25 years old. He was a very eligible bachelor and he was a Prince, but when he had girlfriends he was interestly very much the subordinate. He wasn’t a knight in shining armour.

“His first girlfriend Chelsea and friends described him as sometimes ‘a bit of a puppy’. And then with Cressida Bonas, which is really only Harrys’ other girlfriend and significant relationship other than Chelsea and of course Meghan, and she dragged him along to Glastonbury. There was poor old Prince Harry wearing a very strange outfit with bohemian Glastonbury style chinos and a jacket, and he looked so out of place.

“He is a Prince that is easily led, but he still insists he is the one behind this. It’s just increasingly looking like Meghan is using her platform that the Royal family have given herto become extremely wealthy and extremely famous. And frankly, become Queen of the town or the city that she grew up in and she tried to succeed in all of her career.”

Whilst the former royal couple are no longer permitted to use the ‘HRH’ title, they have still retained the Duke and Duchess of Sussex title. However, Larcombe says it’s ‘inevitable’ the pair will lose that too.

He commented: “In many ways stripping them of their titles isn’t going to make the blindest bit of difference, and actually in Meghan’s magazine interview there was a point at which she was referred to as ‘a Princess’ and that wasn’t even corrected. She’s not a Princess. So those titles…it was always ‘Princess Diana’ even though they stripped Princess Diana of just about everything they could.

“The Queen is a head of an organisation, the institution, ‘The Firm’. She’s the boss. She had to sack Prince Andrew, although she didn’t take away his title of Prine of Duke of York. And she’s had to intervene historically with Harry and Meghan, wishing them well but taking away HRH.

“It is now almost inevitable that the Queen has no more choice but to say ‘enough is enough’ to Harry and Meghan and wish them good luck in their new life but have to take away, as the head of this organisation and the boss, the Queen now has to act. Because Harry and Meghan are simply selling the royal brand. Good luck to them, but why on earth are we still calling them Duke and Duchess of Sussex? That for me doesn’t make sense and I dont think they should be allowed to use it.”

He added: “It’s quite speculative, I think it’s almost inevitable they will be stripped of their titles if Harry’s memoir is due to hit the shelves possibly by Christmas, maybe early next year.

“The Queen does not know what is in that and I would imagine for now there won’t be any movement until that book is out and they know.

“Surely then Harry and Meghan have got to look somewhere other than bleating on about the royal family, in order to command salaries that most people on this planet would only dream of having.”
