UFODRIVE appoints Dan Grossman as US Head of Operations
Leading all-electric, all-digital car hire company UFODRIVE today announced the appointment of Dan Grossman as US Head of Operations. Dan Grossman has been at the forefront of the automotive and mobility sectors for more than 14 years – and has helped to shape the car hire space as it stands today.
After helping guide Zipcar from an innovative start-up through to an IPO and ultimately its acquisition by Avis Budget Group, he went to General Motors; creating its mobility division Maven. During this time, he led the conception and deployment of a new mobility technology and rapidly launched more than 7,000 vehicles (including 750 EV’s) throughout North America.
He then moved to Ford Motor Company and assumed the role of Global Vice President of Microtransit – managing Ford-owned Chariot Transit as CEO as well as its non-emergency medical transit team GoRide.
In his new role, he will spearhead UFODRIVE’s expansion into the US markets – helping to establish it as the primary all-digital, all-electric car hire company, as well as promote its fleet-management software as a one-stop-shop to EV fleet management. During this time, he will remain a Board Member and Advisor for several emerging mobility companies in the autonomous software, shared mobility and EV sectors.
Commenting on the new appointment, Aidan McClean, CEO of founder of UFODRIVE, commented: “We are very excited about Dan joining the team. His experience in the e-mobility and fleet management space is second to none – and with an impressive history helping to expand the electric revolution, his decision to join us is a massive win for the company”.
“It underlines our ongoing commitment to not just improve our car-hire service, and our revolutionary software for fleet managers – but also to expand aggressively into the United States. Our aim is nothing less than becoming the primary global all-electric car hire company. There’s no doubt that Dan will be a great asset in achieving this aim”.
“I am thrilled to join this venture – the business model holds incredible potential, and the values upheld and commitment to the electric revolution are an essential part of tackling the climate crisis.” said Dan Grossman. “This is an exciting time for me personally, the business I am joining, and the EV market at large – so together, we will achieve great things”.
