THE FIRST FILM CLUB has teamed up with STRIPPED MEDIA to launch a new film podcast series dedicated to established and emerging talent and the feature films that launched their careers.

THE FIRST FILM CLUB was created back in 2018 as a Q&A screening event series with a similar premise, where some of the most celebrated directors, including Amma Asante, Gurinder Chadha and Mike Leigh, and their feature film debuts were brought to cinemas across London for live audiences to hear them reflect on the process, battles and triumphs associated with the art of moviemaking.

Now the format has expanded to include talent both in front of and behind the camera, with each episode dedicated to a film, a guest and their behind-the-scenes stories, memories, and advice from their time on set.

Season One of THE FIRST FILM CLUB is hosted by co-founder and critic Hanna Flint, and kicks off with actor-turned-filmmaker Fran Kranz talking about his critically-acclaimed debut MASS. The following five episodes will be released weekly, including behind-the-scenes conversations about BOILING POINT, HEATHERS, LILTING, PLAYGROUND and HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN.
