Self-love made easy this Valentine’s – Booksy lands in Liverpool, matchmaking locals with the city’s best hair and beauty salons – in just 10 seconds!
Booksy, a ground-breaking app which lets customers book, pay for, and manage their next hair or beauty appointment in just ten seconds, is taking over Liverpool as part of a Valentine’s campaign to ‘love yourself and love Liverpool’.
Team Booksy is kicking off its nationwide city-by-city takeover plan with first stop Liverpool later this month. The city will host a range of activities designed to matchmake customers with Liverpool’s best salons, supporting local business, and encouraging customers to ‘love themselves’ this Valentine’s Day.
Firmly backing the High Street and nurturing local salons, Booksy offers hair and beauty providers a fully functioning booking and payment system, client, and calendar management tools. It delivers detailed business reports plus marketing tools to help businesses thrive.
Across Valentine’s Day until the end of March, Booksy is running a huge outdoor marketing campaign with hundreds of billboard sites across the city, taking over the airwaves with radio ads, and sending out invite postcards to over 1000 hair and beauty salons.
Between the 10th-12th of February team Booksy will be hitting the streets of Liverpool, going salon to salon to talk to business owners about the app and how it can revolutionise the way they work, giving them more time to focus on themselves, and less time focused on admin.
The rest of the team will be stationed in the city centre on Church Street handing out goodies to passers-by, asking beauty related questions for the brand’s social media channels, and finding out what locals love about their city.
People can get involved using the hashtag #BooksyLovesLiverpool and one lucky passer-by will be chosen at random and given a gift voucher for a Liverpool salon so they can be pampered and preened as a special Valentine’s treat from Booksy.
Vishal Khakhar, Booksy Head of Marketing, said: “We are extremely excited to kick-start our city-by-city takeover in Liverpool.
“The city has so much to offer, and we already have a fantastic selection of providers we work with there but are keen to get as many businesses as we can involved.
“The people who run and work in hair and beauty salons are true entrepreneurs and artists, and we are on a mission to support them and their craft, and in turn the local economy and High Street, which we believe is so important and the heart to any town or city. Plus, we want to have some fun whilst we do it!
“We are sure the people of Liverpool will embrace Booksy as a super-quick and easy way to book a self-care treat and truly ‘love themselves’ this Valentine’s Day.”
Booksy has seen downloads soar in 2021, boasting over two million UK users and thousands of new sign-ups each month.
Booksy allows customers to access hair, beauty, and wellness treatments in their local area 24/7 without any of the fuss of back-and-forth phone calls. Once registered and logged in, it takes just ten seconds for users to find and book a suitable, local appointment at a time to suit, streamlining the booking process and saving customers time and hassle.
The Booksy app is free to download and use, and customers have the option to search by service type or location, and even find same-day appointments. Users receive appointment reminder notifications and can cancel or amend their booking without having to contact the salon directly.
Booksy is available to users in the UK and Ireland, USA, Poland, Spain, Brazil and Mexico, and is the brainchild of founders Stefan Batory and Konrad Howard, who started the company after their own personal frustration when trying to book appointments over the phone.
