Salon Booking App Booksy teams up with World-renowned Barber Alan Beak to Host Birmingham Business Event
Hair and beauty booking app Booksy teamed up with world-renowned barber Alan Beak to host an industry networking event in Birmingham, with barbers, beauty providers, and hairdressers from across the city taking part.
Hosting alongside master-level stylist Alan was barber, educator, and Barber.josh.o.p Creative Director, Josh O’meara-Patel, with the duo taking the opportunity to demonstrate their exceptional talent on live models as part of the event.
Booksy merchants from all over Birmingham eagerly watched as Ruger Barber Director and Co-Founder Alan, worked alongside Josh to showcase their experience live on stage, spoke about their own personal career journeys, and shared their top tips for business success.
The event took place at innovative conference venue Eastside Rooms on Thursday 31st March, and was part of stop two of Booksy’s city-by-city takeover campaign, following on from a successful visit to Liverpool last month.

The night had an incredible turnout and was a fantastic chance for Birmingham-based Booksy merchants to get networking and share business tips. Some of the talented merchants in attendance were The House Hair, Barber Shop Social, Kasey’s Browtique and Beauty, Sloane Barber, and The Wig Slay Team.

Guests were greeted in style by local Birmingham band ‘Melts the Band’ and were treated to nibbles, drinks, and goody bags jam-packed with useful Booksy marketing merchandise.
As part of the city-by-city takeover, from 30th March to 3rd April, team Booksy was out in full force on the streets of Birmingham promoting the app, visiting merchants face-to-face, and giving out provider packs
