Ricky Martin is the most successful winner of The Apprentice

New data has revealed that Ricky Martin is the most successful winner of The Apprentice, with his business, Hyper Recruitment Solutions, boasting net assets of £2.09 million.

The research conducted by furniture retailer Bed Kingdom used the latest financial reports from Companies House to discover the net assets of each of The Apprentice winners’ businesses, to determine which of them are the most successful.

Ricky Martin, who won the eighth series of the show in 2012, received a £250,000 investment in his recruitment company Hyper Recruitment Solutions, which now has net assets of £2.09 million, making him the most successful winner. He is also one of only two winners to report turnover in his latest set of company accounts, with the figure standing at an impressive £11.91 million.

Series 7 winner Tom Pellereau is in second place, with his beauty business Stylideas boasting net assets of £1.2 million. Series 7 was the first to offer a £250,000 investment as the grand prize, with the previous six winners all being granted a job with Lord Sugar instead.

In third place is series 9 winner Dr Leah Totton, whose chain of cosmetic procedure clinics exhibit net assets of almost £665,000. Dr Leah continues to work part-time as an NHS doctor while running her clinics.

Next up is series 10 winner Mark Wright, who started Climb Online, a digital marketing agency, with Lord Sugar’s investment. Climb Online’s latest report claim net assets of £361,050, making him the fourth most successful winner of The Apprentice.

In fifth place is Carina Lepore, the most recent Apprentice winner. She runs a chain of bakeries called Dough Artisan Bakehouse in south-east London which most recently reported net assets of £286,400. She is the other winner to report turnover, with the latest figure standing at £510,290.

A spokesperson for Bed Kingdom commented on the research: “It is clear that winning The Apprentice can be a great springboard to success. Using Lord Sugar’s investment and the brand recognition from being featured on the show wisely can greatly increase the winner’s chances of successfully running their business, even many years after appearing on the series.

“These figures provide a fascinating insight into what the winner of this year’s series could achieve.”

The analysis was conducted by Bed Kingdom, which is the UK’s leading online retailer for bedroom furniture for children and adults.
