Macclesfield-based Nexer Digital will spearhead a new global partnership between Nexer Group and US accessibility technology specialist Deque Systems, as organisations face growing pressure to improve the accessibility of their digital products and services.

The strategic partnership will see Nexer become a key global partner for Deque, delivering accessibility consultancy, training, testing and regulatory support across international markets, including the UK, Sweden and Germany and beyond.

Announced following Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), the collaboration brings together Deque’s suite of accessibility testing and monitoring technology with Nexer Digital’s 20 year expertise in inclusive design, accessibility consultancy and digital transformation.

Nexer Digital is part of Nexer Group, the Sweden-headquartered global technology and consultancy business, specialising in digital transformation, IT and strategy, which employs more than 2,800 employees across 16 countries.

The announcement comes amid increasing scrutiny over digital accessibility following the introduction of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) in June 2025, alongside growing expectations around inclusive design, ESG commitments and digital customer experience.

The partnership brings together Deque’s digital accessibility software platform with Nexer’s expertise in human-centred design, digital transformation and inclusive user experience consultancy, helping organisations move beyond compliance-led audits towards scalable and sustainable accessibility programmes.

Recent research from WebAIM continues to show that the vast majority of the world’s most visited websites contain critical accessibility issues, despite accessibility becoming an increasingly important legal, commercial and reputational issue for organisations globally.

Under the partnership, Nexer will deliver services including accessibility strategy and planning, manual accessibility audits, inclusive usability testing, training and regulatory guidance, alongside hands-on use of Deque’s product suite.

Deque’s technology includes automated testing tools for web and mobile applications, enterprise-scale monitoring and reporting platforms, on-demand industry training, and developer-focused tools designed to identify issues earlier in the software development lifecycle.

The combined offer will help organisations build accessibility into digital products from the outset, reducing remediation costs and improving user experience for all users.

Hilary Stephenson, managing director of Nexer Digital, said: “Accessibility is fundamentally about people being able to participate fully in modern digital life, and organisations increasingly recognise that inclusive design improves customer experience, strengthens brands and creates better digital products for everyone.

“This partnership combines Deque’s market-leading accessibility technology with Nexer’s expertise in inclusive design, research and transformation. Together, we can help organisations embed accessibility more effectively and sustainably across their digital services.”

Preety Kumar, CEO and founder of Deque Systems, says that “Nexer is an ideal Deque partner, as their strong alignment with inclusive and ethical values, sector expertise in healthcare and the public sector, and ability to deliver local market knowledge to customers greatly enhances our ability to meet organisations where they are.

“Digital accessibility is a global mission, and our global partnerships are essential to helping organisations around the world embed accessibility into their culture and operations and build long-term, sustainable accessibility programmes.”
