The team at the Amazon fulfilment centre in Manchester hosted an affinity fair as part of its mental health awareness activities.

The focal point of the fair was to encourage employees to become involved in groups and societies at Amazon in Manchester.

These groups and societies include the Black Employee Network (BEN), Amazon Warriors and Women at Amazon. Several of the societies at the fulfilment centre in Airport City set up a stall with decorations and welcoming treats to encourage employees to get involved.

Ian Jackson, Site Leader at Amazon in Manchester, said:

“This year’s affinity fair was a great success. It was good to see so many of the team getting involved and learning more about the many societies we have here.”

Cheryl Henderson, who works at Amazon’s Manchester site, and got involved in the fair, added:

“Mental health awareness is so important, and I’m pleased to have been involved in this great event. It’s great to be part of a company encouraging inclusivity and belonging.”
