Local school children have afternoon tea for the Jubilee
To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Annington supported Linton-on-Ouse Primary School & Nursery to host a celebratory picnic for pupils across all years, teachers, and neighbours. The event was also attended by the chair of governors and parish councillors, who were presented with commemorative Jubilee medals.
The school hall was transformed with Union Jacks and Jubilee flag decoration while pupils were encouraged to wear anything red, white, or blue, further adding to the atmosphere, alongside creating their own crowns and artwork during the event. Annington supported the celebrations with a donation of £250, which allowed guests to enjoy a picnic including sandwiches, pizza, sausage rolls and vegetables. Afterwards attendees were treated to an afternoon tea with cake and refreshments.
Davinia Pearson, Headteacher at Linton-on-Ouse Primary School and Nursery, comments: “Our pupils and teachers were so excited to be a part of Her Majesty’s celebrations commemorating 70 years of service. We want to thank Annington for its support with our picnic, as it has provided the school and our guests with lovely memories of a time which will no doubt hold a significant place in history.”
Louise Saunders, Sales and Marketing Manager for Annington, added: “Annington aims to build and nurture relationships within the communities we are becoming a part of. It is wonderful to see such a worthy celebration during this special time, it is particularly sweet to see the children of the primary school present older generations with their Jubilee medals.”
Annington is launching an exciting collection of three-bedroom homes to the area, just a 10-minute walk from the school. Prices start from £245,000.
