Google Searches to Watch ‘Ted Lasso’ Explode by 518% after Eurovision Co-host Announcement.
Google search data reveals that online searches for “Ted Lasso” exploded by 518% in the UK on the 22nd of February, after Hannah Waddingham was announced as co-host of the Eurovision song contest.
A new finding by online gaming site 6Takarakuji reveals that online interest in “Ted Lasso” multiplied over five times the average volume just hours after Hannah Waddingham was revealed as the fourth host of the Eurovision song contest.
The actress, who starred in Ted Lasso, will co-host alongside Alesha Dixon, Ukrainian singer Julia Saninas and Graham Norton in Liverpool this year. She will be seen in the semi-finals on the 9th and 11th and the grand final on the 13th of May.
Looking at the study, a spokesperson from 6takarakuji commented:
‘The Emmy-award-winning actress’ presence as a co-host will draw in more interest as they look forward to seeing the Ted Lasso boss “Rebecca Welton” in a different light.
‘ Eurovision brings in over 160 million viewers globally, and this year we look forward to seeing which country’s artist will sweep the award for first place.’
