Creatures Comedy Festival announces its highly anticipated lineup

Creatures Comedy Festival announces its highly anticipated lineup jam packed with household names and rising stars. Presented by Manchester’s only 7 night a week comedy club, the first wave of acts feature Susie McCabe (Best Scottish Headliner and Best Solo Show in the 2019 Scottish Comedy Awards), Jordan Brookes (Channel 4, ITV, Sky and BBC3) and Ali Woods (Winner of Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2020). Creatures Comedy Festival is Manchester’s first festival with a focus on creating a space outside of London for acts to preview before Edinburgh, giving Manchester residents access to shows before they hit the world’s biggest arts festival in August.

From July 19th – July 28th, the festival will kick off the summer showcasing over 30 solo shows from acts including: Paddy Young (Winner of Chortle’s Best Newcomer award), Dan Tiernan (BBC New Comedian of the Year), Fatiha El-Ghorri (The Jonathan Ross Show, The Russell Howard Hour and Comedy Central At The Edinburgh Fringe), Rob Copland (2 Northdown’s New Act of the Year Awards finalist), Elf Lyons (ITV2’s The Stand Up Sketch Show), John Robertson (NextUp Biggest Award In Comedy runner up), Kyrah Gray (Comedy Central Live and BBC) and club-owner Evan Desmarais.

Not to mention international acts such as Josh Glanc (ABC, ITV and BBC3), Tom Ward (Live At The Apollo), Lil Wenker (Museum of Comedy’s Sketch Off! Finalist) and Sashi Perera (Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2023 nominee).

The hottest comedy talent from the North will take over the festival on the final Sunday. Brennan Reece (Live at the Apollo and Roast Battle), Harriet Dyer (Rosie Jones’ Disability Comedy Extravaganza, Comedy Central Live, The Russell Howard Hour) and Raul Kohli (BBC Radio).

Creatures Comedy Club is proud to be producing its first festival less than two years after it started to run nightly shows and hopes to continue expanding to provide a platform for homegrown talent whilst also raising the profile of Manchester’s comedy scene.
