Centenary year sees Hartnell Taylor Cook deliver best ever financial results
UK leading independent commercial property consultancy, Hartnell Taylor Cook, has today announced the best ever financial results for the LLP. For the 2021/2022 financial year, the business delivered an impressive 21% increase in turnover. The growth from the London Office has been marginally ahead of that of the Bristol office and this is a trend that is expected to continue.
This robust financial performance has been delivered against a backdrop of significant investment into a new 6,000 sq ft office in Bristol and business wide IT infrastructure, which has helped support flexible working practices, fostered greater team collaboration and enhanced service to clients. The news also follows the organisation’s appointment to the Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Estates Professional Services Framework, which has allowed the business to provide cost-efficient advice on commercial property matters for a wide range of public sector organisations.
In tandem with this record growth, Hartnell Taylor Cook’s headcount has grown by 18% in the past year and significant further recruitment is expected as 2022 progresses to continue the business’ expansion.
Part of the strategy in the last 12 months was to grow its Technical Consultancy Business Unit, which provides occupiers, landlords and investors with advice across project management, building surveying, mechanical and electrical, and cost consultancy. With its multi-discipline offering, this arm of the business delivered the best performance across the board and posted a 38% fee increase on the previous year. To reflect his contribution to the success of this in-house offering, Stuart Funiciello, the current Head of Mechanical and Electrical Consultancy, based out of the London office, has been promoted to Partner.
The results are followed by a further eight promotions within the business, including the current Bristol Office Agency Partner, Chris Grazier, taking on the role of Head of Bristol from Ian Lambert. Following a successful tenure as President of the Bristol Property Agents Association, during which he was named as one of the city’s top 100 most influential people by Business Insider, Chris’ appointment will help cement the organisation’s rapidly growing profile.
Commenting on the performance, Stuart Howell, Managing Partner said:
“It is fitting that we have delivered our best ever financial results in our 100th year of business, a milestone that we are all very proud of. The wider UK economic backdrop has not been without its challenges so we’re pleased to have posted such strong performance, especially in London where the size of the market means lots of opportunities for growth.
Our strategy has always been about not just what we do but how we do it. It is great to see this service-led approach deliver such tangible results. With a great team in place, we look to build on these figures during the next financial year.”
