Local organisations who strive to make a positive different to the community are invited to apply for the Social Value Fund, offering grants of up to £10,000.
The L&Q Foundation, the charitable arm of leading social housing provider, L&Q, has announced the launch of the Social Value Fund. The fund was created to support projects responding to real local needs, with the aim of helping local projects deliver even more with a boost in funding.
Nicola Brown, Community Development Manager at the L&Q Foundation says: “We are excited to launch the Social Value Fund this month,
which offers grants of up to £10,000 to local organisations making a real difference in our communities. If you run a local group, charity or social enterprise and your work supports L&Q residents, we want to hear from you! The fund supports activity in areas where we manage homes, including London and Greater Manchester.
“We’ve seen how far funding can go for local community projects, and we look forward to being able to support more projects in the coming months, and in the future.”

You can apply if your organisation is a registered charity, company limited by guarantee, Community Interest Company (CIC), social enterprise, or a constituted community or voluntary group.

The types of projects that the Social Value fund could support include projects that deliver clear social impact in areas such as:
Health and wellbeing
Support for vulnerable residents
Activities for older people
Opportunities for younger people
Employment and skills development
Education and training
Financial wellbeing and cost-of-living support
Community cohesion and volunteering

One example of a previous project that benefited from funding from the L&Q Foundation was the free creative arts programme in Brixton, which began in February 2026.
L&Q awarded £10,000 in funding through its Foundation community grants programme. The creative arts programme aims to give young people a solid foundation for exploring careers in the creative industry. It’s particularly focused on those who may not otherwise have access to such opportunities.
A series of hands-on workshops, training sessions and creative activities are led by expert facilitators, art practitioners, associate companies and show producers – many of whom are from Lambeth and backgrounds similar to the local community.
Participants can freely use professional media studios and explore a range of disciplines, including music production, podcasting, poetry, arts and crafts and digital media, as part of the scheme.
