Yeo Valley Organic launches first products outside of dairy
Britain’s largest organic brand Yeo Valley Organic has announced that it is venturing outside of the dairy category for the first time with a brand-new organic soup range, launching into stores from 12th September.
Developed with organic, natural and freshly sourced ingredients, the organic soup range will feature two texture varieties – ‘smooth’ and ‘hearty’ – and four classic British flavours. All finished with a splash of Yeo Valley Organic’s fresh double cream for a subtle hit of the classic creamy taste, and available with an RRP of £2 per 400g pot. The soups also contain up to 3 of your 5 a day and are packaged in a handy lunch-sized, on the go, recyclable pot.
Yeo Valley Organic’s venture to expand its organic offering and provide more naturally healthy food options from a sustainable source comes as the proportion of Eco-Active consumers (consumers that are heavily concerned about the environment that are also ready to take action) raised to 29% of the total UK population in 2021 (worth 37bn in value to the UK grocery market) and is expected to further grow to represent 62% by 2030 based on the estimates from Kantar.
Tim Mead, Owner of Yeo Valley, said: “With over 25 years of organic farming behind us, it’s an exciting time for us to grow our organic offering outside of dairy for the first time. As a responsible food business and champion of organic agriculture, we want to provide a wider natural healthy food offering that nurtures our planet and nourishes people.”
Rebecca Cottee, Brand Manager at Yeo Valley Organic, added: “We want to offer consumers more variety to champion and choose organic products that are natural, and convenient to indulge whilst meeting up to 3 of their 5 a day. Consumer insight highlighted that the texture of the soup was really important and we aim to meet this need via clear on pack navigation.”
The soups are the first product to be rolled out in a series of new product developments by Yeo Valley Organic, with dips, drinking kefir and Little Yeos pouches also due to launch into stores this September.
