WORLD RENOWNED DRAMA SCHOOL HELPS NORTH AMERICAN BUSINESSPEOPLE WITH LESSONS FROM THE STAGE

Following their continued success and growth over recent years and the launch of their virtual training, RADA Business is now expanding their offering to North America by launching two courses– Personal Impact and Presenting Made Brilliant.

The organisation is actively reaching out to an international market for their courses, as access to their training becomes easier thanks to virtual platforms. They will be able to welcome more individuals from the East Coast of the US and Canada and strengthen their strong working relationship between the countries and RADA.

For over a century, The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London has trained actors with the performance skills that have made so many into major names of stage and screen.

RADA’s graduates have received unparalleled recognition in the industry and with audiences, among them Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Imelda Staunton, Anthony Hopkins, Sophie Okonedo, Taron Egerton, and Ralph Fiennes.

RADA Business, the commercial arm of the Academy, transfers skills that are taught by RADA to actors and translates them to the commercial world.

The organisation enables individuals, teams, and companies to perform at their very best and they have an extensive and impressive client list that encompasses multinational companies’ cross industry, sector, and nationality.

RADA Business’s training enables people to make powerful use of the body, breath, and voice to make fundamental shifts in their own personal impact, how they see themselves and how they approach others. Their training is delivered by RADA tutors who are all highly experienced actors, performers, directors, and business training experts.

Drawing on RADA’s experience of training people to perform at the highest level on the biggest stages, RADA Business’s courses, which are open to both individuals and companies, provide businesspeople with the skills to become credible, confident, and powerful communicators.

Intensive and entirely practical by nature, the work broadly examines Presence (how you come across) and Presentation skills (how you deliver your message) – through the lens of the body and the voice, supported by breath.

Because the work explores human skills, it is applicable to anyone, anywhere, in any role. These courses will be delivered at a time convenient for people living on the East Coast of the US and Canada.

As many other organisations did, RADA Business adapted their courses to a virtual setting due to the pandemic. The opportunity to practice the skills at home has been welcomed by many; additionally, the online content – whilst nearly identical to the in person content – is nuanced to include how to manage virtual interactions: the use of the camera, mic, lighting, set up, management of a team and the other many challenges that working remotely provides.

Jessica Moores, Head of Open Courses at RADA Business comments: “We are thrilled to officially launch our courses on the East Coast. The programmes are often described as ‘valuable’ and ‘life-changing’, and we are so pleased to be able to share these experiences and offerings with existing and new clients over on the East Coast, so that more people can access and benefit from this wonderful work.”
