Manchester-based fashion brands bound and UN:IK have appointed fashion SEO agency Verde Digital to lead their organic search strategy, as the businesses look to increase discoverability, expand non-branded visibility and drive long-term organic revenue growth.
Founded by Jake Messer, UN:IK launched in 2014 as a streetwear outlet focused on independent designers, exclusive brands and collaborations across fashion and music culture. bound followed in 2018, positioned as a premium menswear brand bridging the gap between contemporary fashion and streetwear through elevated, timeless pieces crafted from high-quality materials.
The partnership will see Verde Digital deliver a full suite of SEO services across both brands, including on-page SEO, technical SEO, Shopify SEO and ecommerce SEO.
While both brands have experienced strong growth to date, Verde Digital’s initial audit identified significant opportunities to expand visibility beyond branded search demand.
For bound, in particular, organic performance has historically been driven heavily by users already familiar with the brand, highlighting an opportunity to increase discoverability for broader premium menswear searches, particularly around key categories such as knitwear.
UN:IK, meanwhile, has already built stronger non-branded visibility through its extensive collaborations and sub-brands. Verde Digital’s strategy will focus on amplifying this momentum further, particularly around high-performing collections such as the brand’s Guinness collaboration, where existing search demand presents a clear growth opportunity.
The partnership forms part of a broader digital growth strategy, with a key focus on increasing organic traffic, improving visibility for non-brand search terms and growing the contribution of organic revenue across both ecommerce brands.
Jake Messer, founder of bound and UN:IK, said: “We’ve built both brands through strong product, community and brand identity, but SEO has never been something we’ve properly explored strategically. Verde Digital quickly identified clear opportunities across both businesses, particularly in how we can reach new audiences beyond people who already know the brands. We’re excited to see how organic search can support the next stage of growth.”
Joe Hale, founder of Verde Digital, said: “Both bound and UN:IK have built genuinely distinctive positions within a highly competitive market. bound has a huge opportunity to increase discoverability for premium menswear searches, while UN:IK already has strong momentum through its collaborations and cultural relevance. Our role is to build on that foundation and ensure both brands are capturing as much demand as possible through organic search.”
