Analysis of Google Trends search data reveals that searches for Venom costumes have increased by 1044% in the UK following the release of the film Venom: Let there be Carnage.

A new finding by creative resource Design Bundles reveals a recent spike in searches for the Venom costume. The costume is available on Amazon for adults and children between £20 and £60, ranging from morph suits to full costume and masks.

Squid Game is not the only costume sought after by pop culture fans this Halloween, as searches for “Venom costume” have also seen a dramatic rise since mid-September. Interest in the costume continued to rise during the week of the film’s release on 15th October. The sequel to 2018’s Venom continues to follow anti-hero Eddie Brock, a character from Marvel Comics, while he tries to co-exist with a symbiotic extra-terrestrial and overcome a new antagonist.

A spokesperson for Design Bundles commented: “Just when we thought Squid Game costumes would take over this year’s Halloween parties, Marvel has proven its legendary roster of characters will not be left in the dark thanks to Venom.”

The findings were discovered by Design Bundles, which offers high quality premium design resources and a marketplace allowing graphic designers to register and sell their products.
