On Tuesday 13th July 2021, diversity initiative United in Design will host their first-ever live event at the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. United in Design, was set up by Sophie Ashby and Alexandria Dauley last year to address the lack of diversity across the design industry – specifically, the lack of representation from black, Asian, ethnic minority and low socio-economic communities.

Sophie Ashby & Alex Dauley, co-founders of UID comment: “We are looking forward to hosting the UNITED in DESIGN’S first live event, furthering our shared goal of creating a more inclusive and diverse design community – and opening up the conversation in a new, real-life setting.’’

The event will include networking opportunities for students and design enthusiasts with leading designers, dedicated talks and workshops hosted by industry professionals and tastemakers across the industry – before concluding with an evening of cocktails, canapés, and conversation.
