Fragrance remains a Christmas gifting heavyweight, with a quarter (25%) of prestige fragrance sales happening in December, according to market analysts Circana. Last year, more than half (54%) of UK adults bought a beauty or grooming gift – up from 45% the previous year.
Despite ongoing pressure on household budgets, it seems Brits are far from abandoning Christmas gifting. Average present spend rose from £357 to £374 in 2025, according to Mintel – with fashion and beauty among the most popular gifting categories.
