London-based sisters encourage shoppers to ‘shop small’ from local businesses this festive season, highlighting the importance of buying from makers within the community

Sustainable lifestyle brand Keep Candles will be showcasing its multi-use candle products which double as unique homeware as part of a pop-up market at luxury department store Selfridges on Oxford Street this December 1st-5th.

The sisters behind the brand, Marnie and Olivia Walker, are encouraging shoppers to support small local businesses when looking for gifts that spark joy this Christmas. Their lovingly hand-poured candles come in a range of options to suit any budget and make the ideal handmade gift which is both reusable and sustainable.

Passionate about zero-waste living, the sisters founded their business in late 2020 on a mission to reduce waste by creating beautiful candles which are designed to last and can be refilled and repurposed as stand-out homeware pieces, perfect for thoughtful gifts, and ideal for entertaining with family or friends this Christmas.

As part of the Selfridges pop-up, Keep Candles will reveal an exclusive limited-edition Christmas scent in an ivory bowl candle with natural sand rim, teaming rejuvenating fir needle with festive clementine, eucalyptus, and peppermint to add a touch of freshness. The special scent will be available exclusively online through the Selfridges website RRP £150.

The sisters will be joined by 15 of London’s most exciting small brands as part of the A South London Makers Market organised pop-up, open from 10am to 9pm and found in the accessories hall, by the Duke Street entrance.
