Macclesfield College is enjoying a great start to 2019 with recent figures showing a 30% rise in applications this year compared to the same time in 2018/19.

The college is delighted by the number of strong applications across all curriculum areas and specialist sectors for courses starting in 2019 and are looking forward to continuing to provide a fantastic learning experience for their students.

These great figures coincide with the launch of two exciting new academies, the growth of its apprenticeship provision, the popular free courses that have been well attended by the business community and the list of new courses currently being added to the college’s already extensive offer.

The Whites Chef Academy, with Michelin starred Chef Aiden Byrne as principal patron, is one of two academies the college will launch in September 2019 and has received an extremely positive reaction from the general public.  The college’s health academy is also launching in September in collaboration with Macclesfield General Hospital and allows prospective students to benefit from direct industry experience. It will also give them the opportunity to go directly into a prosperous career upon the completion of the course.
