Darkness will be descending on Whitby once again in 2027 with primo Goth weekender TOMORROW’S GHOSTS today confirming its brand new line up for next year.
After consecutive SOLD OUT editions, TOMORROW’S GHOSTS FESTIVAL has proven itself an unmissable fixture in every Goth aficionado’s calendar. With its annual Halloween Gatherings taking place at the Yorkshire coast’s Gothic heartland of Bram Stoker’s Whitby, today the festival is delighted to name those acts who will be making it yet another year to remember…
On Friday 29th October, a stacked line up will see a headline set from the unstoppable goth-rock force of ANJA HUWE. Changing the face of goth over the course of four magnificent album releases as vocalist of German innovators Xmal Deutschland, not to mention her own extraordinary solo work of recent years, HUWE’s incredibly rare headline set in Whitby will truly be one for the heads. Savour it.
In addition, a litany of very special guests earlier in the day will see Mancunian post-punk totems CHAMELEONS performing their towering classic album ‘Script of the Bridge’ in its entirety; Bauhaus and Love and Rockets trailblazer DAVID J will revisit the Love & Rockets opus ‘Earth. Sun. Moon’, alongside other tracks from his iconic back catalogue plus there will be a blistering live set from ascending goth-punk four-piece MOUTH ULCERS to kick-start the weekend live shows.
Then, on Saturday 30th October, TOMORROW’S GHOSTS will be welcoming back the mighty NEW MODEL ARMY for a special headline closing set in the Pavilion. No strangers to the TOMORROW’S GHOSTS crowd, the Army will be reinenforcing their legendary status with a showstopping set in what will be their third time topping the bill at the festival, but their first appearance in over 4 years. Expect a rousing finale as you reacquaint yourself with roaring classics alongside their stunning recent releases.
Amply warming up for NMA, a trio of sets from some very special guests seeing Speedy Wunderground’s premium sonic distorters HEARTWORMS, original French post punk and gothic rock maestros CORPUS DELICTI and Glasgow based dark wave/electronic unit MERCY GIRL all set the stage with their singular innovations of the immortal goth sound across Saturday evening.
