For the first time ever, Victoria Baths is going to bring you all the thrills of Halloween with a spooktacular silent disco on Saturday 28 October (doors open at 7pm). The Silence of the Baths will set your heart racing, your blood pumping, and send tingles running down your spine with a takeover by legendary Girls on Film plus special guests THT GRL (Not Bad For A Girl) and DJ MX WORLD.
A building once abandoned, a labyrinth of corridors, over 100 years of history… Victoria Baths was made for a fright night like this. With every space dressed for the occasion, you are invited into a world where the line between eerie and enchanting blurs. With not everything quite as it seems, this is a place where things will definitely go bump in the night!
For more than ten years Girls on Film have been enthralling clubbers at venues around Manchester. On the eeriest weekend of the year, they make their first appearance at Victoria Baths to stage an outrageous silent-but-deadly disco at what’s got to be the best Halloween venue in town.
The pool halls and Turkish Baths will be open to explore, with the silent disco taking place in the Sports Hall, where the bar will be serving spirits, chasers and other elixirs including craft-beers, specially conjured cocktails and mocktails, and a range of non-alcoholic tipples.
There will be three DJ Booths to choose from with Hattie Pearson taking over channel 1 playing 80s/90s floor fillers, DJ MX WORLD providing the 00s bangers on channel 2 and THT GRL (Not Bad For A Girl), heading up channel 3 with a mix of all their biggest belters!
Ghoulishly glam or scarily sophisticated, whatever your inspiration, don your very best glad rags for this devilishly wicked night. As well as great Halloween inspired photo-opps making the most of the unique backdrop of Victoria Baths’ Grade II* listed interiors there will be prizes for the Best Dressed, so make sure your spooky style stands out!
Tickets for The Silence of the Baths are £15 (plus a booking fee) and can be booked here. The doors open at 7pm and close at 11:30pm. Entry is for over 18s only and tickets must be booked in advance. All ticket and drink purchases support the work of Victoria Baths Trust to preserve Victoria Baths so that communities can continue to enjoy this inspiring building.
