In January, the 500-capacity Concert Hall situated on the first floor sees hip-hop royalty, Jay Electronica grace the stage, and Nigerian-British party starter Dele Sosimi bringing infectious rhythms, jazz horns and fiery percussion with his afrobeat orchestra.

Representing Manchester across the season, R&B and neo-soul powerhouse Lovescene, the city’s favourite collaborative orchestra – Untold Orchestra – and [ K S R ] whose distinctive sound fuses hip-hop with soul and R&B. February will see the cream of Manchester’s soul and jazz talent – Mali Hayes, Pops of Lovescene and Bee Rosebud – team up to present a tribute to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Erykah Badu’s timeless ‘Baduizm’.

The iconic Slum Village return to the stage for their second show following a sold out stellar show in 2021. The godfather of neo-soul Roy Ayers is one not to be missed, in addition to new wave Nigerian neo-soul singer-songwriter Wayne Snow who will be making his debut in the city.

The diverse line-up means there’s a gig for everyone, from the likes of R&B queen Evelyn Champagne King, radical pop collective NiNE8 and Hacienda’s original resident Greg Wilson.
