50 x £50 has been created by The Auction Collective to bring together the joy of art collecting
and the fun of bidding at auction to more people, regardless of their background or financial
situation. The event will be livestreamed via The Auction Collective’s website on Wednesday
9th December at 7pm.

Taking part in the auction are 50 of the most exciting artists in the contemporary art scene.

United in both their commitment to create cutting edge contemporary art, and inspiring firsttime art buyers, each of the artists has created a single piece of art on a 24 x 30cm canvas generously supplied by The Artist’s Surface Company.

Open to all, 50 x £50 is a unique and exciting opportunity to buy high quality artwork, from
some of the most talented artists working today, well below the artist’s market value.

The auction has been curated by Nick Yau an Art Advisor for The Auction Collective – “The
commitment from the artists towards this auction, and their effort to make art more
approachable for the first-time buyer has been humbling and is exactly what we wanted to
achieve with this show – to open the joy of art collecting to as many homes as possible.”
