Tamdhu hosts whisky and jamón tasting at Borough Market’s Brindisa delicatessen

With a strong texture and rich flavours, sherry matured whisky and Jamón Ibérico complement each other perfectly.

Now, Tamdhu Speyside Single Malt has teamed up with famous Spanish delicatessen, Brindisa, to host unique whisky and jamon tatsing events at Borough Market this December.

The Spanish food experts at Brindisa have created a jamón flight that pairs perfectly with the sherry matured Single Malt, creating an intimate and immersive tasting experience that brings the craft and hospitality of Spain and Speyside to the centre of London.

On the night, Tamdhu brand ambassador, Gordon Dundas, will lead the whisky tasting while James Robinson, Brindisa’s product expert, will discuss the complexities of four unique jamón products from the Iberian Peninsula: Guijuelo, Dehesa de Extremadura, Jabugo, and Los Pedroches.

Guests will enjoy the tasting flight with drams of Tamdhu’s latest release: Quercus Alba Distinction. This whisky celebrates the unmistakable characteristics of first-fill American Oak sherry cask maturation, and is the perfect partner to the rich, umami notes from jamón iberico.

Alongside the tasting experience, guests will receive a 70cl bottle of Quercus Alba Distinction to take home, as well as two sherry-style whisky nosing glasses and a one-of-a-kind jamón serving board carved from oak whisky cask ends.

The tasting events will take place on the 6th, 7th, and 8th of December at Brindisa Borough Market. There are two slots each night: 6pm – 7pm and 7pm – 8pm.
