Spending on DIY and Toys down, but Shoes and Airlines up – New card spend data from Revolut says
The latest consumer spending from Revolut, the global financial super-app with more than 5 million customers in the UK, shows that spending at Toy shops and DIY shops decreased, year on year. Shoe shops saw a 9% increase and the number of customers shopping there, and airlines have seen a 24% increase in consumer spending, but a 16% decrease in customers, year on year.
Toy shops:
Spending overall has decreased 6%, year on year
Number of customers spending has increased 0.35%, year on year
Spending has decreased 7% for the average customer, year on year
DIY shops:
Spending overall has decreased 1%, year on year
Number of customers spending has decreased 1%, year on year
Spending has decreased 0.16% for the average customer, year on year
Shoe shops:
Spending overall has increased 9%, year on year
Number of customers spending has increased 9%, year on year
Spending has increased 0.3% for the average customer, year on year
Airlines:
Spending overall has increased 24%, year on year
Number of customers spending has decreased 16%, year on year
Spending has increased 47% for the average customer, year on year
