National same day courier service Speedy Freight has been awarded Road Freight Operator of the Year, sponsored by Maritime, in the 2021 Multimodal Awards.

The brand faced off against several major players in the freight industry, including DSV, Goldstar Transport, LKW Walter, Pentalver, and United World Logistics, before taking the crown on Tuesday night at the Multimodal Awards ceremony, which took place at VOX NEC.

Over the last year, Speedy Freight has grown by 39%, and now provides dedicated same day transport services to every postcode in the UK, including the movement of temperature controlled goods, goods on hangers and two-person white glove delivery services. The brand has over 8,500 customers and supports clients with a wide range of deliveries across the UK and abroad.

What’s more, Speedy Freight has recently launched its first ever EU hub, with a dedicated branch launching in the Alicante region of Spain. And, despite launching only a few months ago, the branch already has a strong foothold in the region, working closely with Spanish manufacturers and suppliers to fuel expansion.
