smol tackles rugby kit stains in new partnership with Steelers

smol, the fastest growing laundry and cleaning brand in the UK, has taken on its hardest challenge yet by partnering with the Kings Cross Steelers RFC to clean up its new rugby kit.

The brand, which has long supported grassroots clubs, has signed a two-year partnership with the rugby team as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting inclusivity and accessibility for under-funded organisations.

The partnership comes at a crucial time for the club as the RFU announce significant cuts, and with Rugby Union funding already at a record low, it is grassroots clubs that are most likely to suffer.

smol is passionate about supporting the ‘smoller’ players, and with rugby teams notorious for picking up the filthiest stains, the eco-effective cleaning brand were keen to intercept muddy marks before they set. Its laundry capsules are the world’s most concentrated and have been tested against industry standards performing better than the leading brands, so they’re well matched to keep the new kit looking and feeling fresh.

Paula Quazi at smol says: “As a small independent business taking on the big brands, here at smol we really understand the challenges of smaller clubs and groups in getting funding and having an impact. It’s why we’ve been committed to ensuring the ‘smoller players’ get the support they need to thrive. We really commend the work the Steelers do to support grassroots rugby and promote inclusivity in the sport. We look forward to our work with the team and can’t wait to put our laundry capsules to the test on the muddiest rugby stains.”

Matt Webb, Chair at Steelers says: “We’re thrilled to have smol come on board as one of our sponsors. As a grassroots club, we depend on brand sponsorships to survive and smol’s contribution to the team will allow us to continue to promote inclusivity and help new players develop their skills. Not to mention, keep our kits sparkling clean so we’re dressed to impress for every game!”
