Short kings rise up: Men can avoid dating app height-bias with these confidence-boosting shoes and insoles

Conzuri , based in the UK and USA, are offering a simple yet effective solution to the growing issue of shorter men being overlooked in the dating world – by lifting them up from under their feet.

Their range of height insoles and specialised shoes are designed to boost height in men who have been victim to a dating world that’s favoured those over 6 ft for years now, with dating apps often allowing people to filter out people under a certain height.

One short king who was helped out by the product was 23-year-old Ciaràn Holian from London, who purchased the insoles after seeing an ad on social media.

“I got hit with an ad while using Instagram last November,” he said, “I liked the marketing because I could tell it was aimed at lads my age – it was clever and funny and didn’t feel like it was shaming me.

“I went ahead and bought the height insoles and was amazed at the results. I went from 5’10 to 6 ft.”

Like many young men on the modern dating scene, Ciaràn’s confidence was often knocked by simply not meeting the requirement of being 6ft and over. Studies have found guys over 6ft receive around 60% more messages on dating apps than guys who were 5ft 8 and under.

“Honestly, it feels euphoric when you slip the insoles in and put your shoes on”, Ciaràn said, “You think that it’s not much, but it is pretty amazing how much of a difference it can make – not just physically but in your confidence”.

“If you feel better about yourself, you look better. This is where the insoles have helped me. From a dating perspective, it’s made me a lot more approachable, and I’ve noticed a direct impact on how much attention I get when I wear them. If anyone I know asks how I got taller, I just blame it on the shoes .”

Conzuri’s insoles range from 1.2″ (3cm) elevation to their 3.5″ elevation (9cm) with their, even more sought-after, shoes offering a 2.4 – 2.5″ boost.
