With summer holiday bookings up by 19%* compared to pre-pandemic, 2022 is set for the return of jetsetters, who can save on average £109.00 on holiday essentials by buying at the right time of the year.

The new lead out data from one of Europe’s leading price comparison sites idealo.co.uk, shows the cheapest month to buy popular holiday products such as sun cream, swimwear, beach towels and more between now and September. Data has demonstrated holiday-goers can save up to a quarter (24%) of their normal spending budget.

For those looking to capture the perfect holiday memories, the biggest saving can be made on action cams, which are reduced on average by £59.33, if bought in May.

If a spring getaway is planned, consumers can get early savings on sunglasses (5%), sandals (8%) and suitcases (9%) in March.
