RichCast ushers in era of voice-driven interactive entertainment
PANIVOX has today unveiled RichCast (www.RichCast.com) – a completely new genre of voice-driven interactive entertainment that empowers user-generated content creators, and delivers groundbreaking experiences for creative writers, influencers and consumers.
RichCast’s goal is to democratise the creation and distribution of high quality, voice-driven interactive narrative content – targeting the hundreds of millions of people across the world who enjoy consuming and creating digital content in all its forms.
For creators, RichCast’s powerful but highly intuitive integrated Studio allows users to conjure up an amazing array of new forms of interactive content, including:
Imaginative stories
Challenging quizzes
Health & wellness experiences
Training & learning resources
…and so many more yet to be discovered, all complete with voice and touchscreen controls, HD video, audio-visual effects and AI voices to bring new words – and worlds – to life.
For players, RichCast delivers the next generation of narrative audio experiences straight to a mobile app, encompassing content ranging from fiction and comics to factual and education, enabling people to talk to the stories they’re listening to, influencing events and choosing their own path.
This equates to rich, immersive, challenging and captivating experiences that blur the lines between literature and entertainment.
PANIVOX has already been secretly commissioning titles – in the coming months this will start to move towards incentivising content creation through competitions and sponsorships. As the platform audience grows, monetisation will be introduced and brand holders will be invited to come onboard.
While players will enjoy the freedom of consuming RichCast content on mobile devices, creators can take advantage of the large screen environment on their tablet, laptop or desktop.
Creators can now register for early access, opening now, to get busy in the RichCast Studio, with a competition running in November to find the best talent and content from within the RichCast creator community.

RichCast will be launched in full for Creators in December 2021 and for Players on iOS & Android in Q1 2022.
PANIVOX was established by three highly respected and experienced UK games industry veterans: Neil Campbell, plus Philip and Andrew Oliver, with the goal of creating the ‘Go To’ app and community for ‘A new kind of interactive entertainment’.
With 20+ years in the games industry, Campbell co-founded Viewpoint Games and boasts an enviable reputation as a games developer and designer, having worked on major franchises such as Guitar Hero and DJ Hero. Games industry legends the Oliver Twins have created hundreds of titles over the past 40 years, including the ultra-popular ’80s character Dizzy, as well as having established two previous studios.
Philip Oliver, CEO at PANIVOX, said: “People love to be creative, but currently creating anything interactive for non-programmers is restricted to complex 3D worlds. We wanted to remove those barriers to entry and provide creatives with the intuitive tools, route to market and rewards they need to focus on what they do best – making great entertainment.
“And for our players, we firmly believe RichCast will become the ‘go to’ app for voice-driven interactive content. As we like to say: Your voice… Your choice.”
Neil Campbell, Chief Development Officer, offered: “For Creators, the RichCast Studio offers arguably the simplest programming system ever devised. It means people with little or no technical knowledge can dive straight in and start making great voice-driven interactive content, while more experienced users can leverage its powerful features to take their stories to the next level. We can’t wait to see the amazing, immersive content that our RichCasters will conjure up.”
Andrew Oliver, Chief Creative Officer, added: “RichCast also presents a unique opportunity that empowers everyone to harness the power of AI Voices and the most natural and powerful human user interface – speech – which is under-used in entertainment. We hope that this will get people talking!”
