Raheem Sterling signs for Manchester’s HideOut Youth Zone!
The Raheem Sterling Foundation has become a Patron and financial donor of HideOut Youth Zone in Gorton, Manchester helping to change the lives of young people in the area.
The Raheem Sterling Foundation is committed to improving social mobility for young people and give the support and encouragement needed to break down barriers, secure opportunities, access better education and become better prepared for future career prospects.
This mirrors the objectives of HideOut, which works diligently to bring inspiring changes to young people who need it most.
Situated in East Manchester, HideOut offers a safe and inspiring place for young people aged 8-19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs. They introduce young individuals to over 20 creative and sporting activities every night for just 50p.
Keeping children and young adults off the street and instead encouraging them to learn a skill is incredibly important.
In current times of need, organisations like HideOut have never been more valuable.
Adam Farricker CEO of HideOut Youth Zone said, ‘‘Through our partnerships with organisations such as the Raheem Sterling Foundation we are able to offer young people from Manchester somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to, we are open whenever schools are closed.’
A key objective of the Raheem Sterling Foundation is to ensure all young people are given gateways leading to rewarding careers. HideOut share this vision too, offering employability and enterprise support.
These sessions encourage young people to dream big and develop their entrepreneurial skills. HideOut can also help in finding an employer for apprenticeships, an exciting way to learn on the job and achieve a valued qualification.
