Prince Harry faces ‘very significant’ court hearing over US visa disclosures
PRINCE Harry is facing a “very significant” court hearing which could lead to him being deported from the US for lying on his visa application, according to the group which brought the action.
Nile Gardiner, director of the Margaret Thatcher Centre for Freedom at the Heritage Foundation, told GB News: “Of course, the last thing I think the British people want is Prince Harry going back to the United Kingdom. But the issue really is whether or not Prince Harry was honest with his US immigration application.
“We want to establish whether or not Prince Harry was was absolutely truthful with regard to his extensive drug use that he admitted to in Spare, and also whether or not he was given preferential treatment and so a federal judge in Washington DC is presiding over a hearing next Tuesday, which will examine whether or not there should be expedited processing for the request with regard to the Freedom of Information Act.
“It will be a very significant hearing, because if the judge does indeed offer an opinion which supports the expedited processing of the Freedom of Information request, this puts significant pressure upon the Biden administration to take the request very seriously.”
In an interview with Patrick Christys, he continued: “So far, they’ve been stonewalling the request, and if indeed it is the case that Prince Harry lied on his application, that of course is a very, very serious offence. And in such an instance, certainly the individual would be asked to leave the United States.
“There’s a clear public interest in having Harry’s immigration records released and immigration law should be applied equally to everyone who applies for a United States visa, and that includes members of the royal family such as Prince Harry.”
He added: “It is vitally important in our view that US immigration law is applied effectively and equally under the rule of law and is enforced fully here. So far, the Biden administration has been stonewalling the request which we view as absolutely unacceptable.
“It’s also our view that if Prince Harry has nothing to hide he should support the release of his immigration records.”
