Party to Pillow: Events That End Before Midnight So You Don’t Lose Sleep
Data shows that over half of major towns and cities (54%) have seen a decline in nightlife in the past decade. With more variety when it comes to daytime fun, it is no surprise that we are looking to spend our nights dozing rather than dancing.
Sarah Napier, Head of Marketing at Pink Boutique, says: “You don’t have to be trading your beauty sleep for a night out. In fact, there are plenty of options for you and your friends to enjoy some quality time together without needing to go past midnight. So, ditch the early morning walks home for a daytime do followed by a good night’s sleep.”
Annie Mac
Showing that there is a whole host of people looking to enjoy their night without going into the early hours, Annie Mac’s Before Midnight parties were a hit earlier this year. With ten parties across 2023, the DJ kicked off the party at 7pm so that everyone could be home in time for sleep.
And the tour is still going strong, with some club evenings happening across November and December. So, grab your girls and glitter dresses for a whole night that ends before 12. Championing female and LGBTQ+ artists, Annie Mac provides a brilliant night for you and the girls to enjoy without worrying about when to end the night.
Devotion: Before Midnight
Other DJs have been inspired by this need for sleep and started to create their own club nights that get you home just in time to get some rest. Following the great work of the Irish DJ, one area that joined the early clubbing revolution was Teesside, with their own Devotion: Before Midnight.
Todd Terry took Yarm with his lengthy DJ set that ends just before the clock strikes, showing the Northeast the joy of the clubbing scene for people who need a bit of extra rest.
And the popularity of this night isn’t slowing down, with TV chef turned musician Gok Wan even showing up at the September event. So, spend some time dancing the night away without losing out on your shut-eye. And make sure you’re spending some time dressing your best.
Ladies’ Day
Swap the nights out for days about. There is no need to only enjoy drinks and girl time during the nightclubbing scene. In fact, ladies’ day has been a traditional daytime event, giving everyone that bit of fun in the sun, so that they don’t have to miss out just to get to bed.
Whether it is The Grand National or Newcastle Races Ladies Day, there are plenty of opportunities throughout the year to dress your best and enjoy a day out. Grab your girl friends and head to the racecourse for drinks, snacks, and bets in the sun. Not only can you make a day of it, but you can crawl back into bed at a reasonable time.
Whether you’re a parent looking to let loose in the early evening, or someone who wants to make sure they’re still getting their beauty sleep, you don’t need to miss out on clubbing or drinking culture by staying in. Instead, try an event which ends before midnight so that you can still have the time and sleep of your life.
