Open Days at Victoria Baths for 2025
Manchester’s Victoria Baths has announced its programme of regular open days for 2025. The open days are a brilliant way to explore the magnificent Grade II* listed building. You can enjoy guided tours, the beautiful tea room, the eclectic shop full of local artists’ products, all in a Family Friendly environment.
Welcome Tuesdays take place every week from Tuesday 8 April until Tuesday 30 September and are joined by a series of Sunny Sundays on Sunday 1 June, Sunday 6 July, Sunday 3 August, and Sunday 7 September. During all Open Days the pool halls (unfilled) and Turkish Baths will be open to explore. The hugely popular Pool Picnic will also return on Tuesday 12 August. Tickets will be released in the coming months for this Family Friendly event, which last year sold out.
Anthony Baker, CEO at Victoria Baths, says, “Our open days come with a warm welcome for everyone. We love people wandering around our beautiful building in the heart of this vibrant community. Come and enjoy the amazing architecture, learn about our social history, have a cream tea in the Pineapple Room and take a look in our gorgeous shop.”
The Discover Victoria Baths tour brings the building to life, giving information on its social history, about the people who lived there, swam there and also took part in the Olympics for Great Britain! Running on each Welcome Tuesday and Sunny Sunday at 1pm the tours are a great way to experience the building in all its glory. Discover VB tours are £9, free for Friends of VB and under 18s.
And adding to the reasons to meet up with family and friends, you’ll find refreshments and cream teas (£6) that have achieved legendary status, being served in the Tea Room – a light and bright space with exquisite stained glass windows. And for your very own piece of Victoria Baths the Gift Shop, located in one of the former ticket offices, is full of bespoke products, many commissioned from local artists.
Entry is free for Welcome Tuesdays and Sunny Sundays, although donations are encouraged to support the work of Victoria Baths Trust. Tours can be pre-booked here. For further information on Victoria Baths and the Trust’s work to preserve the grade II* listed building visit www.victoriabaths.org.uk.
