On-demand laundry and dry-cleaning app to launch drone pickup & delivery

The award-winning on-demand laundry app, Laundrapp, has today announced plans to launch a new laundry service that will see customer’s laundry picked up and delivered by drone.

Following in the footsteps of Royal Mail and Amazon Prime Air, Laundrapp will work with its commercial suppliers to develop a new framework for drone delivery, putting safety at the heart of the service’s development.

Allan Warburton, Managing Director of Laundrapp, said, “Laundrapp has always been at the forefront of innovative technology, and the launch of ‘Laundry Drone’ is just another way we’re working with our customers and partners to find ways to innovatively serve our growing customer base”.

Laundry Drone will explore current and future technology to create an environmentally friendly and economical service to customers, who have come to rely on Laundrapp to pick up and deliver shirts, bedding, and suits in as little as 24 hours.

Warburton further added: “We’re committed to investing into the future of our services and our customers, and we’re looking to open up the discussion with drone suppliers, safety experts and customers, the latter who will be able to trial the service when we launch”.

Laundrapp plans to set up a focus group with its customers, suppliers and the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) to determine the safest way to operate the service before launch.

“Inc & Co’s investment in its brands, such as Laundrapp, is a commitment by us when we acquire any new company, to invest time, energy and capital into making them the best companies in the UK. Allan’s commitment to always thinking ahead of Laundrapp’s competitors makes him stand out as an MD who’s always one step ahead.” Jack Mason, Group CEO, Inc & Co.

A favourite of celebrity influencers, over-stretched families and busy professionals, Laundrapp collects, launders and returns items to the home or office within 48-hours. The contact-free collection and delivery service cleans everything from suits, shirts and dresses to coats, baby clothes, bedding, towels, and other household items.
