Noor Ahmad, Rachin Ravindra, Deandra Dottin and Seren Smale join Manchester Originals in The Hundred

Three overseas stars Noor Ahmad, Deandra Dottin and Rachin Ravindra will all play for Manchester Originals in The Hundred this summer, after being signed in The Hundred Draft.

Hard-hitting all-rounder Deandra Dottin was Michael Klinger’s first pick as new women’s Head Coach, while Simon Katich chose mystery spinner Noor Ahmad as the first men’s pick.

In total, the Originals chose four women’s players and five men’s players to bolster their squads ahead of a much-anticipated edition of The Hundred in August 2025. Seren Smale and Ella McCaughan will play for Manchester Originals for the first time, while Alice Monaghan returns after an impressive first season last year.

Joining Noor Ahmed in the men’s side is New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra after being named ‘Player of the Tournament’ in the recent ICC Champions Trophy. Lewis Gregory, Ben McKinney and George Garton complete the squad with a strong domestic core.

Manchester Originals campaign kicks off with a home double header at Emirates Old Trafford on Wednesday 6 August against Southern Brave, before a trip to the capital to face Oval Invincibles three days later.

The women’s team will be led by new Head Coach Michael Klinger who brings a wealth of experience and an impressive record in franchise cricket around the world. The men’s squad will see fellow Australian Simon Katich continue in the role for a fourth season, after leading the Originals to consecutive finals in 2022 and 2023.

Deandra Dottin on her return to Manchester Originals, said: “I’m so excited to be back at Manchester Originals. I loved playing for them in 2023 and The Hundred is a great tournament to be involved in.

“Our squad is looking so strong with Beth Mooney and Sophie Ecclestone, so I think we’ve got a great opportunity to make a statement this summer.”

Lewis Gregory who won The Hundred with Trent Rockets in 2022, added: “I’ve had some good memories of playing against the Originals in the past so I’m looking forward to joining them this season. With the likes of Jos Buttler, Phil Salt and Rachin Ravindra we’ve got some of the best players in the world and I’m looking forward to playing alongside them.

“Emirates Old Trafford will be a new home ground for me but I’m sure it’ll be bouncing during the whole of August with the people of Manchester behind the team.”
