A new incubator has launched to help aspiring entrepreneurs turn their dating app ideas into reality, offering a fast-track route from concept to live product in as little as three months.
Created by dating industry pioneer and entrepreneur Nicky Wake, the programme provides a clear step-by-step pathway to launching a dating app. From an initial consultation to discuss ideas, audiences and funding, through to app build and PR and marketing strategy, the model is designed to take founders from concept to launch in as little as three months, subject to funding. Founders will own their dating brand outright, while benefitting from ongoing consultancy and technical support.
The move follows Wake’s acquisition of the white-label dating platform M14 Industries. Wake has been using the platform since September 2022 to power her own dating ventures, Soberlove, Chapter 2 Dating and Widows Fire, and is now making the platform available to founders through the incubator.
Wake believes the programme fills a clear gap in the market, attracting both entrepreneurs with new concepts and established communities keen to expand into dating.
Nicky Wake said: “This is a simple, cost-effective solution for budding entrepreneurs or community leaders who want to monetise their audiences. Instead of starting from scratch with a developer, they gain access to a tried-and-tested model plus the benefit of my lived experience in building three successful dating tech start-ups.
“Unlike generic accelerators, this is dating-industry specific, built by a founder who has already learnt the lessons along the way. I believe the future of the dating industry lies not in competing with giants like Bumble or Hinge, but in creating niche apps that serve specific communities. Launching a dating app shouldn’t be out of reach. This incubator makes it achievable, accessible, and genuinely exciting, opening the door to a new wave of niche dating apps that help people connect in more meaningful ways.”
Nicky Wake has more than 20 years’ experience as an entrepreneur and businesswoman and is widely recognised as a leading voice in both the UK dating industry and the live events sector.
