NEW FUNERAL CARE DISRUPTOR STEPS IN TO FINANCIALLY HELP THOUSANDS OF CUSTOMERS DEVASTATED BY SAFE HANDS PREPAID FUNERAL COLLAPSE
Bare Cremation, a new simple, dignified cremation service provider that’s tailored to individual needs, has offered support to thousands of consumers who face losing most or all of their money invested in pre-paid funerals with Safe Hands as the national funeral firm goes into administration. The new cremation service provider is inviting any Safe Hands plan holders to get in touch to discuss their eligibility for financial support to help minimise the impact of the collapse of the national firm.
Safe Hands plan holders will be eligible for some level of support, depending on timing and location from the new national cremation firm ranging from a completely free to £700 direct cremation service, to help cover some of the money lost.
From 29 July, pre-paid funeral providers must be authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). These new requirements place more stringent guidelines on new and existing funeral plan
providers.
Matthew Geleta, MD of Bare UK, commented, “We have been personally and deeply moved by the requests we have already received from so many Safe Hands plan holders. People have been calling in desperation and panic, which is why we have taken this unprecedented step to help. We are asking everyone financially impacted to get in touch with the Bare team.”
At Bare, we believe funerals should be simple, personal, and affordable, which is why we want to support as many people who have been impacted as possible.”
Bare Cremation offers a new way to funeral. The new funeral provider believes that a funeral should be as unique as the person being celebrated, and they want to remove the stigma that the amount of money spent is a reflection of the amount that person was loved. The provider doesn’t have funeral homes or expensive coffins, instead, they have taken a stressful, impersonal and expensive process, and made it simple, personal, and affordable.
