Moore Barlow supports The Bytes Group with LSE Listing

Software firm The Bytes Group, which employs over 650 staff in the UK, has listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) with a secondary listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

The LSE listing also included The Bytes Group demerging from its South African parent company Altron. Technology, media and telecommunications specialist and Moore Barlow corporate partner Peter Jeffery has supported the Bytes Group for over 20 years during which time Peter and his team have provided The Bytes Group and its management with legal advice on numerous commercial transactions, culminating in legal support on specific aspects of the listing.

The Bytes Group is one of the UK’s leading software companies specialising in security and cloud based solutions. It includes many blue-chip customers and is one of Microsoft’s largest partners in the UK.

Peter Jeffery, corporate partner at Moore Barlow said: “Having supported The Bytes Group and its management for over two decades we are incredibly proud to help it reach another major milestone with its LSE listing. I have no doubt this is just the start of the next phase of The Bytes Group journey and we will be hearing much more about this incredibly innovative company in the future. I would also like to thank our team at Moore Barlow who can rightly claim to be one of the leading commercial teams specialising in technology transactions in the UK.”

Keith Richardson, Director, Bytes Technology Group said “We have used Moore Barlow as our legal advisors for over 20 years. Peter and his team have been instrumental in helping to guide and advise us over this period. We look forward to Moore Barlow continuing to assist us over the next phase of our journey as a PLC.”
