Meghan Markle: ‘red dress’ searches explode 1,328% after an appearance at Salute to Freedom Gala, NYC

Analysis of Google search data reveals that online searches for ‘red dress’ in the UK skyrocketed over 1,328% on the 11th November, the morning after Meghan Markle wore a red dress as she attended the Salute to Freedom Gala in New York City with Prince Harry.

A new finding by casino review experts CasinoSites.org reveals that online interest in red dresses exploded to 14 times the average volume in one day, an enormous spike in interest for red dresses, according to Google search data analysis.

The research also showed that online searches for ‘red heels’ exploded 212.5% (3 times the average volume) after the Duchess of Sussex appeared in red satin Giuseppe Zanotti heels at Intrepid Museum on the evening of the 10th November.

The Duchess of Sussex has also had an influence on the search for the brand ‘Giuseppe Zannotti’ after pairing her stunning red dress with a pair of these heels. On the 11th of November, interest in Giuseppe Zannotti is seen to increase steadily throughout the day. In total, the interest spiked 488%.

Meghan Markle paired her Caroline Herrera red dress with diamond jewellery and a sleek bun for the Salute to Freedom Gala. Her makeup included a sharped winged eyeliner, with searches for ‘winged eyeliner’ increasing 185% on the 11th of November – the day after the Gala.

The Duchess accessorised this with red heels and her Poppy– a touching tribute to Remembrance Sunday and the fallen soldiers in the past World Wars, with her husband Prince Harry having served in Afghanistan.

A spokesperson for CasinoSites.org commented on the findings:

“Meghan Markle is paying homage to the cause behind the Salute to Freedom Gala with her striking red dress – symbolic of the red poppy that is extremely synonymous with veterans. Many people believe red is Meghan’s colour as she stunned in her penultimate engagement in 2020, also in a scarlet dress by Safiyaa.”

“This data proves that Meghan has the ability to blend style and elegance, whilst paying respect and keeping a degree of relevancy towards the events that she attends. It is particularly relevant to her husband, Prince Harry, who served two tours in Afghanistan with the British army.”

Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex left the Royal family to focus on solo work, with veteran charities being very dear to Prince Harry. Speaking to the military podcast Declassified in 2020, he said “The act of remembering, of remembrance, is a profound act of honour. It’s how we preserve the legacies of entire generations and show our gratitude for the sacrifices they made in order for us to be able to live the lives we live today.”
