Manchester’s Lusaint Releases ‘Neon Lights’

Hotly tipped Mancunian singer-songwriter Lusaint today releases her latest single ‘Neon Lights’ – listen here. Following a hugely successful 2024, the stellar new track shines with a meticulous blend of neo-soul and pop sensibilities, carried by slick guitar grooves and funk-driven bass, while Lusaint’s smooth vocal tones hark back to the classic jazz vocalists she takes inspiration from.

Speaking on the track, Lusaint says: “‘Neon Lights’ is about self-discovery and the desire for transformation. Leaving behind familiarity and seeking something more. Breaking free from routine and stepping into the unknown.”

Growing up in the town of Stretford, Greater Manchester, a career in the music industry only ever seemed like a pipe dream. Fast forward to 2024 and Lusaint has dispelled her own theory by clocking over eighty million streams to date and proving herself as one of the UK’s hottest newcomers, with widespread Radio 1 airplay and tips from the likes of Notion, Wonderland, F Word and more.

Inspired by the world of jazz and blues found in her parents’ extensive record collection, Lusaint started her career covering the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone in local bars and restaurants. But then in 2019, everything changed, as her cover of En Vogue’s ‘Don’t Let Go’ received airtime on a popular UK TV show, becoming the UK’s most Shazam’d song in one day. A cover of ‘Wicked Game’ followed, generating over 30 million views on YouTube alone, resulting in a record deal and the release of her own original music with her 2023 debut ‘Dark Horse’. Her timeless and distinctive voice saw immediate support flooding in for the singer, and has seen her fanbase continue to grow at home and abroad.

Released in September 2024, Lusaint’s debut ‘Self Sabotage’ EP has achieved over 10 million streams and received enormous tastemaker support, resulting in European tour dates, festival bookings from Boardmasters to The Great Escape and Neighbourhood Festival, and support slots for the likes of Raye, Tom Grennan, Nia Archives and Jess Glynne.

As Lusaint continues to fly the flag for the North with ‘Neon Lights’, she also embarks on two headline shows next month at London’s Camden Assembly and Manchester’s Night & Day on Friday 14th March. Tickets are available here.
