Manchester South challenged to break Easter egg record for local charity, The Children’s Adventure Farm
Access Self Storage is egg-cited to announce the launch of its 2023 Easter Egg Appeal and hopes that Manchester locals will put all their chocolate eggs in their Manchester South store basket. This year the campaign – which has seen more than 8000 chocolate eggs given to dozens of charities since it launched in 2011 – will benefit the store’s nominated charity: The Children’s Adventure Farm.
Emma Greenwood, Manager of Access Self Storage Manchester South said: “We are all aware that times are hard for many right now, and so we urge our customers and local community to consider buying an extra Easter Egg for someone who may be living in crisis locally, and drop it off at the store, so we can donate as many as possible to those in need, and helped by The Children’s Adventure Farm this Easter.”
Gareth Morris, Head of Operations at Access Self Storage commented, “Our stores very much see themselves as part of the communities we serve, so we welcome the opportunity to help local charities that serve those very same communities.”
Staff have already begun collecting eggs and people are invited to bring donations into the store until 31st March, ahead of the charity collection and distribution in time for Easter itself.
Helen Crowther, Trust Fundraiser & Press Officer at The Children’s Adventure Farm, said of the Appeal, “We’re absolutely delighted that Access Storage have decided to support our Easter Egg Appeal in 2023. This year we are aiming to provide an Easter-themed visit to CAFT for 1,800 ill, disabled and socially disadvantaged children.
These events will see families and groups enjoying activities such as crafts, music, storytelling and marshmallow toasting and of course an Easter Egg Hunt, which is where the eggs collected by Access Storage will come in! We’d be so grateful if community members and companies could donate Easter Eggs to help us to bring chocolatey smiles to the faces of these wonderful children in 2023. HUGE thanks must also go to the team at Access Storage for their continuing support of our charity, they always do all they can to help us to make a difference.”
Since the Access Self Storage Easter Egg Appeal launched in 2011, more than 8000 chocolate eggs have been donated to dozens of charities across the UK.
Access Self Storage last ran its Easter Egg appeal in 2020 and despite the challenges across the country then with Covid, and the appeal having to close early due to restrictions, an egg-cellent 1100 Easter Eggs were still collected and distributed across numerous charities across the UK. They want to smash the egg donations in 2023 and beat these numbers!
