Manchester NHS Trust get RCM Service of the Year nomination
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust’s Midwifery team who have been shortlisted for Midwifery Service of the Year in this year’s prestigious Royal College of Midwives Awards.
The award seeks to recognise excellence, significant improvement and/or innovation in the provision of maternity care. It also recognises how staff are appropriately supported and valued, how the design of the maternity service fosters respectful relationships, promotes team work and how this positively impacts outcomes for women and their families.
Kathy Murphy, Director of Midwifery and Nursing, who leads the team said: “We are honoured to have been nominated for such a prominent award. This shortlisting recognises the huge effort and dedication our hardworking teams demonstrate every day to make sure our women and babies have the very best experience and outcome when receiving care at Saint Mary’s. We look forward to the ceremony in March.”
The RCM awards are a unique celebration of the profession’s best and brightest talent, giving recognition to maternity services that have demonstrated an exemplary approach to provision and a commitment to improving team working, including with multi-disciplinary teams.
