A Manchester hotel has moved quickly to fill a high-profile vacancy this week – by offering football fans the chance to stay in its very own ‘Manager’s Suite’ for free.
Hotel Football, located just yards from Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium, is launching the tongue-in-cheek giveaway following the departure of the club’s head coach this week.
Hotel Football is inviting fans to nominate who they think deserves to take over the “vacated” Manager’s Suite for the night.
To enter, fans simply need to head to the Hotel Football Instagram page here and tag the person they believe should step into the hot seat, explaining why they deserve to be manager for the night. The competition runs until 4.30pm on Sunday 11th January, with the winner announced on Monday 12th January at midday.
The prize includes an overnight stay for two at Hotel Football, subject to availability, and excludes Manchester United home fixture dates.
Jessica Southworth, Director of Sales and Marketing at Hotel Football, said: “Manchester United manager is one of the most talked-about jobs in world football, so when the role suddenly became available this week we couldn’t resist having a bit of fun with it.
“Our hotel has seen plenty of managerial comings and goings over the years, given how close we are to Old Trafford, and this is our way of giving one fan the chance to feel like the boss – at least for the night.”
