Jsky Promotes LGBTQ+ Pride on New Song
Singer, songwriter, fashionista and host of Channel 4’s hit body confidence show Naked Beach Jsky was looking forward to performing his popular self-love anthem “Myself” at various Pride events this summer. Unfortunately, due to the widespread pandemic Pride events across the UK have had to cancel to meet government requirements.
Many LGBTQ+ individuals and allies celebrate Pride events as a landmark occasion each year, and there has been a number of users online commenting how missing Pride has been a devastating blow for their mental health.
“When I first released this song, the message was self-love and acceptance, but given what is going on today I wanted to expand on that to shine a light for the LGBTQ+ community”
Jsky was named an LGBTQ+ Pioneer of Colour by the LGBT Foundation during Black History Month and speaks out regularly on issues such as mental health and social media. He is the showbiz correspondent for BBC Radio Manchester and a regular panellist on their news and debate show The Dead Good Show.
Featuring music from American Hip Hop artist Desiigner’s club smash Panda, Jsky sings about being a proud gay man. The song has already begun receiving praise on social media.
Myself x Designer (I’m In Love With Him) has been added to Jsky’s Soundcloud page along with an acoustic rendition of the classic Bill Withers song Lovely Day.
